Okinakame

Unlike most organisms that produce offspring, Okinakuma took a different route to continuing it's existence. Okinakuma's body constantly studies other animals it interacts with and copies the DNA in a gene bank contained in a nerve cluster that acts as a extra brain. This pseudo brain harvest what is considered useful and, if Okinakuma's body is an a healthy state, will begin manufacturing a fetus. Over some months/years (depending on the complexity of the body) Okinakuma's body will prepare to cocoon and later birth. Her body will calcify and become a shell for the developing body, then the information carried by the primary brain will be uploaded to the brain of the body. This means that instead of birthing a new creature, she's birthing herself in a new body.

Okinakame is faster, more accurate, and tougher than her previous form. Her senses are far more sensitive, body more agile, and vocal cords allow some more complex communication. To defend herself, Okinakame's head can revert into the body while the shell shifts forward to protect the primary brain, as well as make a good ram. Skin membranes connecting front limbs to back limbs allow more air time in a jump.
